As we celebrate the eighth anniversary of our medical aesthetics business, we are filled with immense pride and gratitude. Over the past eight years, we have had the privilege of helping our patients look and feel their best, and we couldn't have done it without our amazing team and your continued support. Our Journey: From vision to reality

Eight years ago, I embarked on a new career in advanced medical aesthetics after being a general adult nurse for 7 years. With a passion for making people feel comfortable and confident and providing excellent service, I started the journey into self-employment!

Milestones and achievements

Year 1: The grand opening

I began my humble journey in my wonderful mum’s bedroom in July 2016 with a handful of models putting their trust in me at the start of their own journeys. The initial response was overwhelming, and I quickly became a trusted name in the community.

Year 3: Expanding our services

By my third anniversary, I had expanded my range of services from injectables to skin rejuvenation and thread vein removal. With demand increasing, it was time to look for new premises and I moved into a one-room clinic in Skelmersdale, but I struggled to do everything on my own.  Right on cue, in walks the sunshine of my life Rachel Brier! Rachel was initiated to help me out with some admin, marketing, and general organisation but we soon realised she had a talent for much more! She was great at making people feel comfortable and had an amazing thirst for knowledge, not to mention already being familiar with many of our treatments and products as a patient.  It was the perfect opportunity to start her skin specialist journey!

Year 4: The world stopped turning

Covid struck and we were forced to close our doors several times over the course of 12 months. But that didn’t stop us! We continued to engage with our loyal following, keeping ourselves and the business alive and thinking of innovative ways to build on what we already had! We will forever remember our cocktail and quiz nights over zoom!

Year 5: Training, development and the rebuild

At the five-year mark, our dedication to excellence continued. Despite the locking down and re-opening, our following grew and grew. Our clients' testimonials and positive feedback reaffirmed our belief in the transformative power of medical aesthetics. We also invested in continuous training for Rachel and I to ensure the highest standards of care. Rachel became a skin guru extraordinaire, offering a range of treatments and building her own client base. We began hosting our quarterly skin events to promote health and wellness and focused on building relationships with our loyal patients and creating opportunities to welcome new people into our clinic.

Year 7: The big move to the big clinic!

We expanded to a multi-room clinic with our own reception and our very own toilet! Our team grew and our treatment offering expanded to include over 30 services including fractional laser, tattoo removal, Radiofrequency Microneedling and HIFU therapy. It was an exceptionally busy year with the renovation, the team building and the endless amount of training, but we made it! We were finalists in the prestigious Aesthetic Awards for Best Non-Surgical results and shortlisted for the Safety In Beauty Awards.

Year 8: What's next?

Myself, Julie and Rachel are like a well oiled machine. Teamwork really does make the dream work. We are continuing to offer the latest innovative treatments, in the safest environments and giving people their confidence back. We have some new ideas on how to give back to the community and are excited to see where the next eight years may take us.
