Dermal Fillers

Achieve a natural lifted appearance, restoring structure and volume across the face.

See FAQs

Dermal fillers can be used to enhance your appearance, typically applied to the middle and lower areas of the face to restore volume, enhance definition and rejuvenate and hydrate the skin.

Our skin and facial tissue loses its natural hyaluronic acid as we age, reducing volume and hydration and leading to wrinkles and sagging.  Our dermal fillers are made from a soft hyaluronic gel that closely resembles that natural hyaluronic acid found in the body, providing additional moisture to the skin.

Dermal fillers restore volume, soften lines and give a natural lifted appearance to several areas, restoring a firmer structure around the cheeks, chin and jawline for a more youthful appearance.

Not simply used to improve facial volume lost through the natural effects of ageing, dermal fillers can improve the appearance of the neck, décolletage and hands. The treatment is also highly effective in enhancing facial features that are naturally less defined, improving proportion and profile, dermal fillers can enhance cheek bones, hollow tear troughs, define and contour the jawline and reshape and streamline the nose.

We strive for beautiful, natural looking results with our dermal filler treatments, expertly administered to enhance the natural harmony of the face, using the safest techniques with extensive consultation and aftercare.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do dermal fillers help with?

Dermal fillers restore volume, soften lines and give a natural lifted appearance to several areas, restoring a firmer structure around the cheeks, lips, chin and jawline for a more youthful appearance. They can provide hydration making the skin appear more supple. Dermal fillers can also help with asymmetry improving balance and harmonisation.

Does dermal filler hurt?

Pain is subjective and certain areas of our face are more sensitive than others. To make it more comfortable we typically use a cannula for most areas and for certain indications we use needle but is still typically tolerable. The injection techniques we use are the most forgiving. You may feel a bit uncomfortable but it’s short lived and over with in the matter of minutes. We also use topical numbing cream to take the edge off and the dermal filler also contains lidocaine which minimises your discomfort.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Dermal filler results can differ person to person depending on how quickly your body breaks the hyaluronic acid down. They generally last between 6-12 months however we do regularly see results lasting up to and over 2 years. The results will vary in different areas of the face depending on how much movement is in that area.

What can I expect after my treatment?

Bruising and swelling are to be expected. We use cannula and needles which can cause trauma and although rare, can result in bruising. The next morning is when you can expect the most swelling. The majority of people love the next day swelling but this will settle if you are like me and do not like it! The areas that have been injected may feel tender to touch or have a tight sensation. You may have the sensation of bruising without the discolouration, usually settling within a week. The results will continue to improve over the following 3/4 weeks as the dermal fillers integrate with your tissue and become hydrated.

What is the aftercare?

Avoid wearing sunglasses or reading glasses for 12-24 hours if possible (nose filler only) Please avoid touching the injected area for 6-12 hours after injection, this includes affectionate dogs, curious babies and any other foreign objects near the area. You should avoid makeup until the next day. Smoking is not advised in any case, including E-Cigarettes. Avoid any exposure to UV, extreme heat i.e. sauna, steam rooms, sunbeds as this may increase discomfort and swelling. As well as extreme heat, you should also avoid extreme colds, this includes ice packs that are directly applied to the skin. If necessary, you can apply a clean cool compress to the area to reduce any discomfort and swelling. Avoid any dirty packaging from the freezer e.g. bags of peas as this can increase risk of infection. Avoid facial massages and skin resurfacing e.g. Retinol or AHA products until the area has fully healed.
