Your lips are the most expressive part of your face and we want you to feel comfortable when you smile, laugh and talk.  We’re not all blessed with perfectly plump and symmetrical lips and even if you are, your lips can lose volume and hydration as you age.

At Alisha Louise Aesthetics, we’ll enhance your lips, restoring natural volume, definition and hydration, projecting the lips and treating surrounding areas using the safest techniques. Unlike other practitioners, we use a cannula to inject, reducing swelling and bruising, generating quicker healing and the most natural results.

We’re passionate about creating your ideal lips and we’ll work with you through detailed tailored consultation to understand your needs and expectations. We will only provide bespoke treatment that works with your facial anatomy and honours the harmony of your face.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt?

It is a slightly uncomfortable sensation that is short lived and very tolerable. We use a special technique which requires just 4 injections which means less pain, less bruising, less swelling, much more natural results and you heal significantly quicker. You might have tender lips for a few days post injection which is completely normal.

How long does it last?

We only use premium dermal filler which will enhance how long your fillers last. Everyone's retention of lip filler is completely different. We typically see filler lasting around 6-9 months, however it is not uncommon for it to last several years! You may require several sessions to build your lips up initially and then you can expect around 12-24 months longevity. Remember to drink your water as fillers love hydration! They will look better and last longer.

What can I expect after my treatment?

Bruising/swelling is to be expected. The next morning is when your lips will be most juicy. If you hate your lips please don’t worry they will go down! Same applies if you love the swelling, this is an indication that you’ll probably want more. Your lips may feel tender, lumpy and a little irregular which is completely normal and will settle over the next 4 weeks.

What can lip filler be used for?

Lip fillers are fantastic for multiple considerations. We can use fillers to obviously plump lips to make them look bigger but we predominately use them for anti ageing by smoothing vertical lip lines, enhancing volume that has been lost, softening lipstick bleed lines by creating more shape and just overall restoration of this very important facial feature. We respect the anatomy of every lip and create age appropriate lips for everyone. Nobody wants fake looking lips....

What are the risks?

You can expect bruising/swelling which usually settles in a few days. Infections are rare but it’s important to follow your after-care advice to reduce the risk. The risk of a vascular occlusion is low due to our knowledge and the techniques we use. However, with all treatments we are obliged to inform you of the associated risks and we are well prepared to treat any complications that arise.

What things should I avoid after having my procedure?

Please avoid touching this area for 6-12 hours after injection, this includes affectionate dogs, curious babies and any other foreign objects near the area. You should avoid makeup until the next day. Smoking is not advised in any case, including E-Cigarettes. Avoid any exposure to UV, extreme heat i.e. sauna, steam rooms, sunbeds as this may increase discomfort and swelling. As well as extreme heat, you should also avoid extreme colds, this includes ice packs that are directly applied to the skin. If necessary, you can apply a clean cool compress to the area to reduce any discomfort and swelling. Avoid any dirty packaging from the freezer e.g. bags of peas as this can increase risk of infection. Avoid facial massages and skin resurfacing e.g. Retinol or AHA products until the area has fully healed.
