Polynucleotides (Skin Regeneration)

Promotes deep skin renewal and collagen production, rejuvenating the skin.

See FAQs

Polynucleotides (natural DNA fractions) are highly effective at rejuvenating and renewing skin cells. When injected into the skin, they combat oxidative stress and free radicals responsible for premature ageing.

They can be used to reduce the appearance of pigmentation, scars, dehydration and lines and wrinkles. They can also boost collagen production to improve skin firmness and elasticity and are known to be one of the most effective treatments used in regenerative medicine, containing substances that trigger the body to repair itself and heal.

In aesthetics, when injected into he skin, polynucleotides initiate your body's natural fibroblast production, stimulating the release of healthy collagen that increases skin firmness and brightens skin tone. Organic molecules in the polynucleotide bind with water molecules to hydrate and deeply moisturise the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt?

You may feel a slight stinging sensation during injection but it is tolerable and doesn't last long.

How long does it last?

Typically after your first 3-4 treatments 3 weeks apart, you can expect up to 6 months before a top up is required but results will vary depending on the individual.

How many treatments will I need?

We recommend having 3-4 treatments at 3 week intervals, followed by a top up every 6-9 months.

What is the downtime?

You may experience a little redness, swelling or bruising but this will usually subside within a week or two.

How are polynucleotides different to skin boosters?

Polynucleotides are different to skin boosters as they are made of highly purified DNA fractions as opposed to hyaluronic acid. While both treatments are suitable in addressing signs of ageing, polynucleotides focus on regeneration and contain substances that trigger the body to repair itself and heal. Polynucleotides can be used in sensitive areas, including around the eye and mouth area and to treat acne, pigmentation and scarring.

Where can polynucleotides be injected?

They can be used on the whole face, neck and décolletage and certain areas of the body. Polynucleotides are often favoured in certain areas as they do not cause water retention like hyaluronic acid. They are particularly effective in the under-eye area to improve skin strength and integrity.
