Skin Tag and Wart Removal, Milia Thermavein

Treat skin tags, warts and milia on the body using heat to reduce blood supply.

See FAQs

We know that skin tags and warts can be a source of self-consciousness for some of our clients. Using our ThermaVein machine, we can treat skin tags, warts and milia (trapped dead skin cells causing small white dots) by using heat to reduce blood supply. This leads to the skin tag, wart or milia dying and falling off completely, sealing the underneath to prevent their return.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt?

You may feel a sting or a pinch to the localised area so slightly uncomfortable but not painful. Some people compare it to a hair being plucked. As soon as you feel the uncomfortable sensation it is over, the pain does not last.

How long does it take to work?

Depending on the amount of skin tags/warts/milia will depend on how long the treatment takes. You can expect to be in clinic for around 45 minutes but your procedure will only take between 15-30 minutes. Once the area has been treated you can expect the skin tag/wart/milia to fall off within 10 days. A re-treatment may be required if it is a large skin tag/wart/milia.

How long does it last?

Our bodies can re-grow skin tags/warts/milia at any time in other places so a new treatment will be required in these cases. Otherwise, it is usually permanent.

What is the after-care?

You can continue your normal regime straight away. The advice is not to touch the area afterwards, do not apply make up or body products for 6 hours. Avoid fiddling with the area as skin tags may feel ‘loose’ and can be very tempting to pick off. Be careful not to catch them on any clothing or long hair.

Are there any side effects?

You may have some redness and some irritation in the treated area. There is a slight risk of infection so it is important not to touch but otherwise it is a relatively safe procedure with minimal downtime.
